Lindsey Scoggins Studio is a luxury jeweler who wants to have a strong online presence while keeping up her brand standards. This project was to design a tool to help Lindsey and her employees quickly create PDF quote proposals for her clients
It took Lindsey a long time to create proposal quotes by hand because she was busy and often interrupted. The new automated tool cut down on manual steps and saved Lindsey over an hour when creating a client’s PDF quote proposal.
To save time, the client’s name can be chosen from a drop-down list connected to the client database. Images, prices, weights, and names are automatically added to the proposal. Diamonds are pulled in from inventory and can be filtered by shape or sorted by weight and price. New gemstones or jewelry pieces can be added to a proposal even if they are not in the inventory, and the pieces in the proposal can be reordered by clicking and dragging.
Lindsey has different styles of quote proposals that she creates for her clients. We showed images for each proposal type to help choose the right one, and we showed different styles for proposals that had more than one option.
We used a search that finds matching words and filters by keyword. Employees could type in a word to search for a piece of jewelry or use checkboxes to narrow search results by jewelry type and collection.
We decided to set up the search so that users can find jewelry from both the online store inventory and the inventory of new designs that aren’t listed on the store yet. Icons for the online store and the new design inventory system are displayed on the search results.
